How much does it cost to immigrate to Canada? To whom and how did you pay? What is included in official payments for immigration to Canada?
These and other questions are asked in a personal on social networks. Everyone first of all is interested in how much immigration costs to Manitoba (Canada), and at what stage you need to pay money and how much.
1. Letter to immigration officers for a visit or for a visiting session.
Since it is desirable to attach the results of the IELTS test to the letter, transfer of diplomas (you can not certify at the notary), then you will definitely spend on all this. IELTS costs in Ukraine, for example, about 130 euros. Translations – as it will, but inexpensively. At this stage, you can generally translate diplomas.
Expenses for the road. Documents: diplomas, summaries, letters of recommendation from employers. You can translate everything yourself.
3. Getting Invitation to apply. The provincial stage. Online forms are available.
It is necessary to prepare and translate documents: diplomas, birth certificates, divorce certificates, letters of recommendation from employers, a certificate from the bank about the availability of funds. Translations can only be certified by an interpreter or a translation agency. You do not need to go to a notary.
4. Letter of approval. The federal stage.
Expenses: the translation of documents from you will remain from the provincial stage. It will be necessary to go to the notary and make copies of the originals and all. It costs very little.
Also, you must pay official fees only after you receive a letter of approval. That is already at the federal stage. It costs $ 550 for an adult and $ 150 for a child (up to 18 years).
After you pass a medical examination ($ 270 x 1 adult, $ 220 child) and get POVL (promise of visa letter), you will have to pay another $ 490 for visas (adults only).
IELTS: $ 150 Interview on the exit session in Kiev (road, costs): $ 100 Translation of documents for online submission: $ 20. I did not certify translations by notarial, as it is not necessary. In my particular case, I translated everything myself and just found a freelance translator with a stamp (not even a seal). The translator simply put a signature and a stamp, going through the documents for 15 minutes. The federal stage: $ 1,250 ($ 550 * 2 adults + $ 150 child). Separately another $ 20 to a notary for certified copies of original documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.) Courier (EMS) delivery of documents to Sydney (Nova Scotia, Canada): $ 50. Medical examination in Lviv: $ 760 (270 * 2 adults + 150 children). Well, I spent $ 50 on the road and food. We lived in one of the neighboring regions and therefore we had only 120 km to go. Visas: $ 980 (490 * 2 adults, for a child under 18 do not need to pay anything). Total: $ 3,380 – this is the cost of immigration to Canada for a family with one child from Ukraine.
Yes, expenses, of course, it’s a personal matter. And everyone will have his own way. Someone else to get to the interview, someone will not translate himself and go to the translation agency.
I repeat: we went all immigration to Canada ourselves, alone. The asset was only English. It turned out with the help of these sites like this. Where there is information about immigration to Canada in general, and about the various immigration programs of individual provinces. And if they did not know something, they wrote a commentary-question and asked. And people answered us with joy and helped us. Thank them for that!
