How and where to get a visa?
If you consider that Tahiti is a French territory, then the visa must be obtained at the consulate of France.

Not sure, but somewhere read that the Schengen (no matter what country including France) to enter the overseas territories of France is not good. In any case, go to the French Consulate.

Maybe someone has information about this remote island. How and where to get a visa, what is the price for tickets and where can you fly from there?
Kind time of the day & # 33;
I am a very new person here (registered today – in your opinion, yesterday), but generally quite old. That is, probably, young (inside – so they say, I do not know myself), only was born a long time ago.
About ten months ago I was intensely interested in the possibility to fly to Oceania (I was really interested in New Zealand or Samoa, or Tonga – the second part of the Chava expedition was to start from the NZ). Since I have a residence permit in France, I was thinking how to get there through Tahiti. But the reality turned out to be rather unpleasant.
First of all, it would have been necessary for me to sign the entry to the entry point, even though I work in France. Secondly, I would have to do an American visa – the plane (even from Paris, though from the FRA) makes a technical (for refueling) stop in California (or Los Angeles or San Francisco), but the Americans still require a visa;
As a result, I made myself only a visa for New Zealand (by post, and the passport with the visa was sent back to me on the day of receipt – I saw them coolly talked to all the circumstances – I called 6 times!), And flew to the other side with Singapore Airlines flights (not flights, and a miracle – despite the time in the air) FRA-Singapore, Singapore-Oakland. Next we went out on the yacht – the first jump in the five (including two “kiwis” – that’s what the New Zealanders call themselves), and after the first crossing they were left alone with the captain (he and the owner) of the yacht. Then Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Marshall (all countries for citizens of Russia – visa-free), Vladivostok; three months something (the last transfer – a month long – was not so simple, at the end a little bit frozen).
My advice: if you just want to “just go to Oceania”, then do not fly to Tahiti – a place almost European (according to the reviews of the French who visited there), civilized, insanely expensive, and exotic not that. It’s easier – for visas and for money – to fly to the Western part of the Pacific: especially since there is less civilization and more exotics (except for Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, the Marshall Islands is very worth visiting Vanuatu). You can fly either through Australia, New Zealand (complexity – visas, but many planes, including low cost), or through Seoul (and / or Guam, the port of Villa) without visas, but with a large number of flights.
As for vaccinations, I think it’s not worth worrying about; in the directories of the New Zealand Consulate, the countries of Polynesia are not listed as restless (and Russia, and not only it, is listed as # 33;). Rather, the authorities of these countries are concerned that WE do not bring them any infection. Tonga was in a local medical institution for something to pay quarantine. There was a long excursion on the subject, how they are healthy with health. At the end. were asked to throw something into the piggy bank, “in favor of the health of the islanders,” & # 33; & # 33; & # 33; I threw 8 bucks (it was so) – there was no joy – I immediately put all the stamps. On the Marshall was to the hospital – about a wound on his arm. Cheap and good (the Moscow level of medicine – rests on all parameters – there is almost Europe).
I’m going to describe everything for “Around the World” (such as a guidebook, but not quite), including about planes, visas and other details, but not immediately Moscow is being built, and I do not know how to do everything quickly. If you want to ask in person – call Strasbourg (phones in the profile), or write in a personal. If you call it is expensive and difficult – write your number, I’ll call myself – it’s inexpensive for me. By the way, at the end of November I will be in Moscow for a week, and again – the end of December – the beginning of January – too: you can meet.
By the way, if I can, I’ll post a few photos.
I wish you luck in your trip & # 33;
