Reviews of Vienna (travel notes)
Re: Reviews of Vienna (travelers notes)
At 14:12 arrived at the Western Railway Station in Vienna. The hotel reached the hotel in 10 minutes, left things (rooms are not ready) and went for a walk and eat. All the shops in Vienna were closed. Worked only bakery at the station and mini-shops of foreigners. Visited the local church Maria vom Siege.
At 9:00 we went down to the nearby Hofer (Aldi) and bought food. Then we went to Mariahilfer in the picture gallery – the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Art History). The museum approached at 10:15, already had a decent line (tickets for 20 euros). We easily went into it, undressed (although many went later to the museum in outer clothing, it was cold), they handed the backpack to the storage room and went to admire the masterpieces of painting, to another – there was simply no time.
We left the hotel at 9:30 am, reached the station to find out the bus schedule to Vienna airport, they departed every 10 and 40 minutes (the price is 8 euros). Then along the tram tracks went to the monument of the Austrian army, where the date was 1809 (who did they win?). Further down the street Westbanhoffstrasse, where the shops of the main photo producers are located, we walked seven blocks and turned to Mariahilfer. Having passed the familiar route a little more, they entered the courtyard of the museum quarter and entered the Leopold Museum.

Absolutely wonderful Vienna Zoo – but do not go pliz there in the heat. For what I’m tolerant of the natural smells and how many zoos visited – but here I really got carried.
Vienna card seemed to me relatively useless and did not justify itself at all.
And in general – the imperial city, not to subtract or add.
Re: Reviews of Vienna (travelers notes)
When I was in Vienna, it did not occur to me to compare with St. Petersburg, but in general the city was not impressed. Already a few years have passed, and I still amazed at reading someone’s rave reviews. In Vienna, chic museums, cozy parks, confectionery quickly get bored, but otherwise. Do not want to go back. But the relatives living in Moscow adored Vienna, admired its silence and small size.

I am very grateful to this forum and the section Vienna, which became the base for tourist information.
First there was the idea of Vienna-Prague – Budapest, but Vienna won the race))) Austria and the Czech Republic should be divided.
