A trip to Warsaw (what and how, advice)
Finally, it was February 8, we brought our children to my mother and drove to the station. The train left at 18.35 from our station, on the train it was very warm to undress so the advice: if you are the same going to go on the train, take a large package for things that would not cover up. The next day an hour before the train arrived in Lviv, I called Mykolay, he met us directly at the car. We got into the car and drove to Warsaw.
On the border there were a lot of waggons, cars I panicked. But thanks to the skill of our escort, the entire process of passing the border took half an hour.
After several hours of travel, we stopped to have dinner behind Lublin on a bypass, in a tavern called “Bida”. Mykolay suggested that ordering, because in this tavern almost all dishes have mega sizes, so the advice: if you get the same in this tavern, be careful in choosing a dish, or rather order one for two. We ordered soup (zupa gulyashowa) – 8 PLN for one serving, I never ate such a delicious soup, in the first one a portion of the volume is probably more than one liter, it has a pile of meat, and in the second is cooked in an oven. After stuffing our bellies we went further.
In Warsaw, we were already at 17 o’clock. We approached Natans Villa Hostel. Mykolay as well as during the whole road and here we did not quit, his knowledge in Polish is very, very, five minutes and we are in the room – 180 PLN per day. We walked to the consulate, and went back to the room.
We took a room for two with a double bed, we decided to shake, still the capital of Poland. There was also a shower room with a toilet. There were very few slippers, so the next tip: take with you on the trip slippers, a very useful thing both in the hostel and on the train.
For some reason, I did not sleep very much, and at 7.05 we were at the consulate. They stood somewhere to 7.25, then they started to run.
On the control you take off the belt, take it out of your pockets, before that, accordingly, you give the invitation and passports. You pass through the frame, take your things and go further into the corridor. There we were built in two rows, on the left are immigrants, on the right are the rest. Immigrants are allowed in the first place.
Go to 10 windows show the invitation, give a number and ask to go to the waiting room. I want to note that everything is very well organized, there are about 100 soft chairs in the waiting room, an electronic display on which a number is displayed and the number of the window to which one should be approached. It’s all so organizes all the people who are there, it’s nice to be there all day long. All procedures describe nebudu, because on the forum they were described many times. I will add only that I did not take docks of financial solvency, did not take a work book.
The interview was held at the second window. The consulate has got pleasure pleasantly, years so 34-yoh, cheerful. I took a leaf, I saw that there is written in Latin, and she started reading from him: Podemite pravuy ruku. klyanites. It sounded cool.
What did I ask (through an interpreter):
– who is this person to whom you are going;
– how much money do you plan to take;
– (I was born in Germany, the father of the military was) you were born in Germany, how long you were there;
– in the army, by whom you served, what did you do there.
After that I gave the pass the next day and we went happy to the hostel. Tip: Answer the questions calmly with a smile, do not worry.
In Natans Ville free breakfast consisting of bread, butter and a pile of jars with different jams. I forgot to say that also free internet, coffee, tea and use the kitchen can be at your discretion. Therefore, advice: If you plan to stay at Natans Villa, take food with you or buy food in the supermarket. My wife and I later went to the supermarket and bought kalbasks, eggs, vermicelli, sausages, sauerkraut, etc. Spent on 28 PLN products. For comparison, take the cheapest snack type of our shawarma – 8 PLN one. In principle, do the food yourself. But in Poland everything is expensive. For example: the cheapest ketchup – 4,55 PLN, eggs – 5,3 PLN. We fried kalbasku with eggs, cooked vermicelli. Students from India were constantly cooking something from their kitchen, students from Australia, too, some kind of a soup cooked.
Back road was basically the same. Only it seemed that faster. In the “Bida” (I could not go on it any more, yum-yum), we ordered the same goulash soup, and for a variety of mushrooms. I tell you I would stay there to live, so tasty mushroom soup. I have never eaten such soups, we do not cook anywhere. Beer draft too very tasty – 5 PLN for 0,5 l. For baking I forgot to say – yum-yum!
